Dermal Fillers
Long Island, New York Yee Cheng Low, MD
Restoring Volume, Precisely Placed
- 15–45Minutes in-office
- 2Weeks to final settling
- 6–18Months of effect

Dermal fillers restore volume, smooth lines, and enhance facial contours using injectable gels — most commonly hyaluronic acid-based — placed to address specific areas of volume loss or to refine shape.
What Are Dermal Fillers?
Filler is injected beneath the skin to add volume, support sagging tissue, or build contour in areas such as the cheeks, jawline, lips, temples, and nasolabial folds. Different products and consistencies suit different areas and goals — a filler chosen for lip enhancement is not the one used for cheek structure.
Because filler is placed near major facial blood vessels in several areas, precise knowledge of facial anatomy meaningfully affects both safety and result. Dr. Low performs every filler treatment himself for this reason.
Benefits
- Plumps lips and softens nasolabial folds
- Sculpts and defines cheeks and jawline
- Restores volume lost with age
- Results are immediate
- Minimal downtime
- Reversible with hyaluronidase, in the case of hyaluronic acid fillers
Who Is a Candidate?
You may be a good candidate if you:
- Have volume loss in the cheeks, temples, or under-eye area
- Want to enhance lip shape or fullness
- Want to soften nasolabial folds or marionette lines
- Are in good general health
- Are not pregnant or breastfeeding
What to Expect
Treatment takes 15–45 minutes in-office. Results are visible immediately, with final settling over about two weeks as any initial swelling resolves. Depending on the product and treatment area, results last 6–18 months.

Neuromodulators (Botox)
Neuromodulators temporarily relax targeted facial muscles to soften fine lines and dynamic wrinkles — the lines that appear with movement and expression, before they’ve had time to etch into resting skin.
ExploreFacial Fat Grafting
Much of what reads as facial aging is volume loss rather than sagging.
ExploreChemical Peels & Laser Treatments
Chemical peels and laser treatments address skin tone, texture, and pigmentation — concerns that come from the skin’s surface quality rather than from volume loss or structural descent, and that respond well to non-surgical treatment.
