- 5–7Days to desk work

- 3–6Months to refine

Gynecomastia — enlargement of male breast tissue — is common, affecting a substantial proportion of men at some point. It may result from hormonal changes, genetics, weight fluctuation, certain medications, or occur without identifiable cause.
It is also, for many men, a source of long-standing self-consciousness that shapes decisions as ordinary as whether to take a shirt off. Surgical correction is reliable and the results are permanent.
What the Procedure Involves
Correction combines direct excision of glandular tissue with liposuction of surrounding fat. Glandular tissue is firm and fibrous and does not respond to liposuction alone; fat does not respond to excision alone. Both are usually required.
Where excess skin is present — commonly after significant weight loss — skin excision may be necessary, with nipple repositioning in more advanced cases.
High-definition chest contouring may be incorporated for athletic patients, sculpting around the pectoral border to enhance definition.
Who Is a Candidate?
Men with persistent enlargement of breast tissue, excess chest fat, or both, at a stable weight and in good general health.
Where true gynecomastia is present, appropriate medical evaluation is recommended before surgery to exclude underlying hormonal or medication-related causes. Correcting the cause first sometimes resolves the problem without surgery.
Recovery & Expectations
Most patients return to desk work within 5–7 days and to full exercise at 4–6 weeks. A compression garment is worn for several weeks.
Results are apparent immediately and refine over three to six months as swelling resolves.
